With over 20 years leading technical innovation teams, Rob Osterwise has full stack knowledge of the IoT ecosystem from device operation, security, data transport, ingestion, action, through visualization. He has received 10 patents including art such as device management, connectivity, security, identity, and power consumption with more than a dozen additional patents pending. At Stanley Black & Decker, Rob leads the IoT Center of Excellence, where they have centralized a platform architecture accelerating IoT solutions and focusing talent on frameworks and cutting-edge technology to make IoT accessible for the business needs across all of the Stanley Black & Decker Business Units.
In Rob’s spare time, he spends much of his time guiding youth serving as the Scoutmaster for his local Boy Scouts Troop and mentoring tomorrow’s innovators in the Electric Vehicle Racing Team for a local High School.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla.
